WES  -  Founder, President & Software Engineer

At the age of 14, Wes founded his first business repairing & supporting computers.  Although very successful (still has some of the first clients), higher education was also important. With web based software still in its infancy, Wes developed one of the first web based programs seen at Texas Tech University as his senior project. Graduating from the school of Engineering in Computer Science, how could he say no when asked by his mom to bring technology to the Council of PTAs.  Thus the  birth of Parent Connect.  Wes is also the president & founder of a computer & live sound/lights production company….Ultimate AVT, Inc.  On Sundays you will find him working as the Worship Producer at the First United Methodist Church Richardson, TX where he brought to them their first Live Streaming of the worship services. He will tell you that Parent Connect is truly a labor of love meeting his desire to give valuable technology to the volunteers that do so much for children.

HISTORY OF PARENT CONNECT

The Beginning

Parent Connect   began in 2004 with the eNewsletter and Website modules, to fill a need for technology in the Richardson Council of PTAs.  As a favor to his mom, who was serving as president that year, a gift of the first two modules was given.  Future modules came as other volunteers in leadership requested more and more tools to make their jobs easier.

2011

The Back to School Wizard was added as another brilliant addition to the family of modules. Apple Inc. approved the first Parent Connect App for use, and the Point of Sale was also upgraded that year to better meet the needs of the face to face sales.

2013

Has been a monumental year with the launching of 2 new versions of Parent Connect (Web & Windows Desktop), and the innovative “connecting” design of the Parent Portal.  Parent Connect continues creating even more useful tools, not only for the parents but the organization administrators.
